Antique Owl Shaped Ceramic Corner Brackets from France

A irresistible pair of early to mid twentieth century ceramic wall brackets in the shape of owls, from France.
Each owl perches on a painted brick column and supports a shelf which is beautifully gilded and painted on top with floral motifs and bordered in pink and gold.
Each owl is incredibly expressive, with yellow eyes, a rounded beak and gorgeously feathered body.
We have rarely come across any brackets that are as unique and charming as these. Perfect for a dining room or garden room. Marked Made in France on the back with maker's mark.
Some restoration work to the back of one bracket, professionally done. From the front they are perfect.
