Large Pair of Royal Dux Figurines

A beautiful pair of monumental biscuit porcelain figures made by renowned Royal Dux Bohemia, depicting a girl and boy, each one at a well. 
Stamped with the pink, triangular Royal Dux Bohemia E mark under the base.
Lovely porcelain biscuit highlighted with polychrome accents in shades of taupe, pink and umber. The water pouring from each well, in particular, is a beautiful detail.
In wonderful condition. One small hairline crack to the base of the boy figure, and evidence of an old repair seen on the underside. Please see photos. 
Royal Dux was founded in 1853 in northern Bohemia and by 1889 this important factory was producing ceramics of incredible quality: vases, figurines, fountains and centrepieces  with exuberant decorations of flowers, leaves and trees in typical Art Nouveau style.
