The Aurora, 19th Century Painting After Guido Reni

19th century trumeau mirror. The top portion is a painted canvas with a neoclassical scene depicting Apollo or Helios in his chariot, bringing light forth, accompanied by maidens and a putto bearing a torch.
The lower portion is a rectangular mirror. The whole framed in an elegant gilt frame.
The painting is probably 19th century and has been relined. The frame and mirror portion may be later.
A truly gorgeous piece with dazzling colours. The painted portion would also look lovely as as a separate, framed painting.
