This is an incredibly unique, Empire, gilt bronze lamp, most probably French and from the late 19th century. The lamp has a lantern shape with a claw foot base and an elongated swan holding the hammered bronze shade. Beneath the shade another intricately carved swan sits on a stylized lily pad. The bowl of the lamp, reminiscent of a genie lamp shape, ends in a beautiful face mask.
This is one of the most unique pieces of lighting we have ever featured.
In excellent condition with a beautiful patina. No signatures or marks.
The shade measures 7.25" in diameter and is 4" high. The base of the lamp is 6" by 5". Overall 17.5" tall.
This lamp looks incredible no matter where you place it!
